Thank you for your interest in the Breaking Barriers Collaborative’s Medium- & Heavy-Duty Fleet Electrification Accelerator beginning in September 2026. We will contact you within one week to schedule a required follow-up call to learn more about your organization, answer any questions, and ensure that your organization is set up to successfully complete the program. The Accelerator is limited to 20 organizations, and we aim to have a diverse group of organizations from across Washington, including organizations that qualify as small businesses, drayage operators, veteran-owned businesses, nonprofit organizations, and government and public agencies. We are reviewing enrollments on a rolling basis, so you are encouraged to submit your enrollment as early as possible.

Participant Information

You must enroll at least one participant and we suggest that you enroll one to three additional participants for support in case you can't make a session. The primary participant should be the individual responsible for creating your organization's fleet electrification plan—typically a sustainability professional and/or the person overseeing the fleet. Other participants may include individuals from building operations (relevant to charging infrastructure) and finance (to help with the business case).

Executive Sponsor

Each organization is required to have an executive sponsor to ensure there is high level buy-in for your organization’s participation in the Accelerator. The executive sponsor should be VP or higher and have decision-making influence related to fleet electrification.

Acknowledgement of Commitments

  • A minimum of one, and up to four, participants must attend and actively participate in 90-minute weekly online sessions. Sessions run between January 13th, 2027, through April 14th, 2027.
  • Participant(s) attend a required two-day in-person session January 13th and 14th in the Seattle Tacoma area.
  • Participants create a fleet electrification plan and presentation by the end of the program.
  • Organization executive (Director, VP or higher) agrees to sponsor your organization's participation in the program.
  • Attend at least 75% of all sessions or provide a reason for absence to the program manager.
  • Thanks to funding from WAZIP the Medium- & Heavy-Duty enrollment fee has been waived, and all Washington fleets can participate free of charge!
